A quick and easy way to cook fish
Using a griller oven
- Place a Basa fillet on a flat metal oven tray
- Cover the fillet with some lemon juice
- Sprinkle on some dried dill
- Place in a griller-oven at 200 degrees Celsius
- Cook until the fish turns white (approx 3-5 minutes)
- Turn over and apply lemon juice and dill
- Cook for a further 3-5 minutes until completely white
Using a microwave
- Place a Basa fillet in a shallow microwave proof container such as a soup bowl
- Cover both sides of the fillet with lemon juice and dried dill
- Cover dish with a microwave splash cover
- Cook on 40% for 90 seconds (based on a 1,000 watt oven)
- Turn the fillet
- Cook for another 30 seconds at 40%
These times are based on a 50 gram fillet. Larger fillets require corresponding longer times or higher power.
For example, to cook a 100g fillet, cook at 70% for 90 seconds on each side.
