A quick and easy way to cook fish

Using a griller oven

  1. Place a Basa fillet on a flat metal oven tray
  2. Cover the fillet with some lemon juice
  3. Sprinkle on some dried dill
  4. Place in a griller-oven at 200 degrees Celsius
  5. Cook until the fish turns white (approx 3-5 minutes)
  6. Turn over and apply lemon juice and dill
  7. Cook for a further 3-5 minutes until completely white

Using a microwave

  1. Place a Basa fillet in a shallow microwave proof container such as a soup bowl
  2. Cover both sides of the fillet with lemon juice and dried dill
  3. Cover dish with a microwave splash cover
  4. Cook on 40% for 90 seconds (based on a 1,000 watt oven)
  5. Turn the fillet
  6. Cook for another 30 seconds at 40%

These times are based on a 50 gram fillet. Larger fillets require corresponding longer times or higher power.

For example, to cook a 100g fillet, cook at 70% for 90 seconds on each side.
